3rd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM3), 30 September – 2 October 2025, San Sebastián

EBBD GRACE project team and associated partners met in San Sebastián for the third transnational project meeting (TPM3). Hosted by Nazaret Fundazioa, colleagues from Finland, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, France, Austria, and Poland worked intensively on the next steps of the project, which aims to integrate sustainability and Green competences into EBBD while at the same time advancing the design of micro-credentials that will make EBBD even more relevant and future-oriented.
The meeting combined research reflection, curriculum development, and exchange of good practices. Participants validated survey and focus group results, structured examples of sustainability in practice, and discussed how GreenComp can be translated into EBBD learning units. A central focus was the design of a pilot EBBD micro-credential on sustainability, which will strengthen the certificate by providing students with a competence-oriented, future-proof qualification.

Two expert contributions enriched the meeting. Miren Elosegui from ADEGI Business Association shared her perspective on how companies in the Basque region approach sustainability and what competences they expect from graduates entering the labour market. Petra Kroon from Albeda College (Netherlands) presented an inspiring best practice of an international student project on sustainability, providing hands-on ideas for integrating project-based learning into EBBD.
The meeting also offered space for collaboration on quality assurance, dissemination, and project reporting. Beyond the formal programme, cultural exchange and joint activities strengthened the European spirit that lies at the heart of EBBD.
With TPM3, EBBD GRACE has taken another significant step towards embedding sustainability competences into the EBBD framework. The outcomes of the meeting will now feed into the design of curriculum units and a test micro-credential, ensuring that EBBD students are well prepared to study, work, and live responsibly in Europe.
